Orleans County

Hello All,

I live across the lake in Oshawa and was wondering if Orleans County Police and Fire are exclusively on the LTR trunk system or if they use the VHF/UHF and Low-band frequencies listed in the DB? If the frequencies are not in use, why keep them in the DB?

I have heard Orleans Co. Fire on 46.08 as recently as last summer.

Orleans County uses 46.080 for all Fire and EMS Dispatching. After that they go over to the trunked system. All Police in the county are on the trunked system. All the fire and ems departments have lowband radios and some have uhf and vhf so they can work with other counties.
