Is this considered trunked for Air Canada ?

Cap + is DMR mode so you should be ok using the DMR mode to listen to it. Following the trunked may be a bit harder as I do not know if the BCD325 P2 follows Cap+.

From @gary123
I did look at my user manual and my BCD 325P2 can follow Cap+ system but I did find this Air Canada freq. I’m just wondering if that a trunk system?

So I am doing some experiments. I found a CAP Plus site that has a lot of freq's. It has range of 26.6 I have it locked on a control channel. I am going to see if that will pick up the airport system. I know it a long shot but want to try it out.

So I just programmed that other CAP site for DMR. I programmed the airport TG 71 which is operations, and I see CAP symbol and 1 signal bar and the control channel below.

The Air Canada frequencies are not CAP+. Possible explanation is in DSD+ Event window if
you were monitoring a CAP+ system then switch frequencies to conventional, the CAP+ may
still be displayed at the bottom, check that. If in doubt, clear the system line, may need to
exit/restart DSD+.

If you are seeing Airport TGs 11, 21....etc on the Air Canada frequencies that is interesting but
also worth checking, using RID's. Airport radios might be able to operate on Air Canada frequencies
but does not mean they are the same system.

As mentioned earlier, TG numbers can be the same in different systems but be unrelated. In my
logs I find several TG 1000's etc. on different systems.

I found this old Post from Dave regarding Air Canada. I'm not really sure what he means, but I'm still looking for more info about Air Canada.

I went to the CYOW plane watching lot with my DSD+ full version and knowledge of how to use it last week.
I can confirm that:

Airport Authority System:
Neighbor is Site 1
461.4125 is Cap+ Site 2 DCC=2 This told me it is First Cap+ Repeater (Ch1 and Ch2)
463.0125 is Cap+ Site 2 DCC=2 This told me it is Second Cap+ Repeater (Ch3 and Ch4)
TG=51
This site on this system looks submit-able.

Neighbor is Site 2 - looks like it needs another frequency as it is one of the repeaters.
460.2125 is Cap+ Site 1 DCC=1
TG 51

Air Canada
Site 1
460.7000 is DMR BS DCC=8 - I need more details to confirm the rest of the frequencies for the system.
I will be going back this week or next to confirm the rest of this. I will also attach my raw data for those interested in looking at it in an up coming post.

I found this old post

So I am at the airport doing so analysis of the frequencies listed. I have been seeing and hearing activity on two of the four as follows.
461.4125 CC=2 slot 1 and 2 CAP
463.0125 CC=2 slot 1 and 2 CAP
I did a system analysis of all four programmed in using the mobile only and it says 1 frequency only.
This will give me enough to program several versions of the system to monitor on my next visit.
I'm only hearing digital on 460.7 that is licensed to Air Canada.
Frank
An FYI the Alert road parking lot is not plowed.

I will try and find more info, but I would like to know how to do this. I have been also picking up chatter on the Cap +.
I have programmed the freq. of the site

I heard some comm's from this system. I will listen tomorrow to see what the ID's are.

I just saw TG 201 on the Cap+ system.

It’s French. I don’t know if it's Air Canada or not, and I’m not really sure how to program the Air Canada system to be honest. That's what I would like help with now, to program the Air Canada system :)

I know the Air Canada TG are 1002 etc., but I don’t know what system I need or what site.

So I just programmed the Air Canada DMR conventional system now. I'm just waiting for comm's too, but I think i would hear something in the morning, as I did it at night time instead of the day.

I just would like to share this info just so i have everything i need to know

Just want to give info on what one of the freq says it’s digital DMR conventional I believe. I am downtown now, so I’m thinking I’m out of range but when I get back to my area I will keep listening.

Nice work on using the TAFL database.

The 2 52x Bearcom frequencies are site 17 on the PushPlus system (Sys ID:201). They are in the ARC-XT PushPlus 201 file. I have not identified the system/site for the 46xMHz frequencies yet. The license says they are DMR TIII. They may be a stand alone system.

@gary123 I just programmed all of the freq. I know I did it too late while it's dark, but tomorrow I will keep listening and take note of the colour codes to see which person is talking. I put them all in digital search as I don't know the colour codes.

Yes that is how to locate the colour codes. Usually all the channels on a particular trunked site have the same color code. This may be useful in pairing discovered frequencies.

So, I just did a Custom Search for DMR conventional I haven’t came across any chatter ye, but what I am thinking is it best it program all of the Bearcom freq as DMR conventional,

The only thing I don’t know is I don’t know what colour code the for airport sites that Bearcom owns, so I am lost what to do with that.

Oddly enough, I just tried another Custom Search and I heard the word hanger like, airport hanger. The guy said you probably left it back at the hanger.
