Does Ottawa County plan on keeping the TRS they currently have or are they switching to MARCS exclusively? I am currently looking at moving to that area in the near future so I would like to know what to expect. Thanks!

I don't see anything in the database that says they might.

I live north of fremont in sandusky County. I scan sandusky county, Ottawa County, and the city stuff for fremont, oak harbor. Most is on the p25 marcs system. Ottawa is simulcast, but I have no problem scanning it with the 996p2, 325p2 where I live.

Ah ok. Lol. The abbreviation stumped me. Most everything is on the trunked system in Ottawa as far as I can tell. There might be a volunteer township fire house on analog still.

I was looking at the Database for MARCS and it shows that Ottawa County Sheriff and Oak Harbor Police use MARCS can anyone confirm that

I live in the area and scan both sandusky and ottawa counties. If I remember right, oak harbor is on marcs. Ottawa county sheriff is on the multi county p2 trunked system. Its been a while since I looked at my program.

When I was up in Sandusky over the Summer, most comms were on the County system. Oak Harbor and Mid-County EMS were the only users on MARCS.

Hard to believe Oak Harbor would be on MARCS with the main site for the county system right in their back yard, while the nearest MARCS site is way up by Davis-Besse...in fact, that's the only site in the county.
All the dept's that weren't on the county system used to be on UHF.
