P25 Best Setting???

Hello, here when i scan RENIR systeme from QC in P25, i saw the word DATA in the screen, and full signal. But the scanner does not hold and continue to scan. After over one year i'm not able to heard anything. May be the setting is not good? Thks for help

Have you tried making a favourites list with just the site closest to you?

A significant majority portion of this system is encrypted talkgroups as well, which the SDS series will skip over and never listen to. That may be a good reason as to why you've never heard anything off it overall.

What scanner are you using? Usually when I see "CON" or "P25" or whatever in the bottom right corner but it doesn't decode it's either encrypted (ENC will usual show up) or I presume the signal isn't strong enough to decode it.

Ah, I must be going blind. My bad 😵 And after looking at that system, OP is probably SOL, as already said the vast majority is encrypted. (OP: When looking at the system on the database, "DE" in the "mode" column is full time encrypted, which means those talkgroups are unmonitorable.)

Uniden scanners are configured to « skip by » any encrypted talk groups when scanning systems like the Renir.
And as 99% of comms on the Renir are encrypted, be ready to see your scanner just zip by over most (if not all) communications taking place on the Renir province-wide system.
