P25 Phase II

Is there any P25 Phase II up and running in nova scotia and if not does anyone know if there will be anytime soon and what will this effect police fire for example?

At the moment no, there are no known systems in the province using P25 phase II. As for the future, that's an unknown - the province is planning to unveil a new public safety P25 trunking system in the coming years (I think 2014 was the word on the street) - right now I don't think anybody on here could say with any certainty whether it will be phase II or not, but it may be. Hopefully not, or we're all buying new scanners

Im getting rcmp on 861.7625 and it flashes p25 when there on. I`m using a bearcat 250 d.also i have to fine tune to here them right

861.7625 is one of the voice channels used by the TMR site at Cape North. You should program the site as a trunking system, instead of listening to it as a conventional frequency.
