p25 rx

Hello

I have a p25rx original model. I have search and cant seem to find the fix for this. I was going to update mine to 1-26-2023. I downloaded the software.
but all i am getting on the app version 1-26-23 0812. in the is discovering please wait. I have tired 3 different cables with the same have the power light.
and the green signal lite along with the amber talk group light. any help will be appreciated I not sure the version that is on the p25rx right now

Unplug the p25rx for a few minutes and restart the computer. I've had the same issues with my original and ii while upgrading firmware.

And an edit to that... I think there's something about holding the push button for a while too on one of the models to get it to reset.

Yes there is a bootloader mode that can be used if the firmware fails, but it shouldn't be necessary the majority of the time. One issue that he could be having is the Bus speed. I am not in front of my laptop so I can't remember the exact name this option is given in the software. Depending on the computer, you may want to try the slower speed. Running on my Toughbook CF30 I must use the slowest speed or the update won't complete. If this still fails and it was an unsuccessful update then putting the unit into bootloader mode might be necessary, although in all of my time owning one, I have only needed to do this once or twice. Since BTT added the option of changing the speed and I found the one I needed to use, this hasn't been necessary.

Thanks for the help. cmjonesinc. Suggestion worked now to lean the new firmware. My original p25rx is still running 9-25-21 1115 and it does
great on nc viper system. So I am going to see how this new one does before I update that one.

Glad it worked out. I didn't update one of original models for a very long time because it was working just fine for me (monitoring viper as well), but when I did update I had the same problem. The "zone" option is a nice feature among the other things the newer firmware offers.

I updated to 2023-01-26 0826 this morning. Running well for me all day today.
