The P25RX-II is ready to start shipping. There are only a couple available currently, but there will be more by the end of the week after parts show up. For those of you reading this, please use a discount code of 'P25RXII' during checkout. The P25RX-II improves on the original P25RX design with a better IF filter, and a better hardware-based AGC. It is a great performer in fixed or mobile situations. A new channel search feature has been added and can currently discover P25 P1 and DMR channels at a scan rate of around 140 channels / sec while logging the results.

Thank you for all the hard work on this!!

I have been waiting quietly for this announcement, just placed my order. I live in an area with several of the Duke Energy P25 TDMA CC systems so I'm really looking forward to using the P25RX-II on them.

Will there be further runs in the future with a discount like this? Been eyeballing one for a few months due to the AEP p25 TMDA systems as well. Probably only a matter of time before Harris does it on our PS stuff as well.

sold out in 25 minutes?
Sorry about that. There weren't many available today, but I wanted to get the web site, shipping, and everything started. I should have more by the end of the week. I will continue to add them as they are assembled and tested.

Thank you! It hasn't been tested with the TDMA CC systems yet, but TDMA CC is working on the P25RX. If there are any issues, it shouldn't take too long to get it straightened out.

The discount is good through the end of the year.

What is the price on these? Same software as the original? Does it have a zones option? Oh how I want zones in mine!

Is there a side-by-side anywhere to compare the two?

Please see the web site for pricing. The java software and firmware is different for the P25RX-II. The BTCFG-II software will only detect P25RX-II units and the BTConfig software will only detect P25RX units. Sorry the zones idea is still missing. I still need to get scanning added as well. I'm not done with the specs / comparisons yet, but the start of that document is here: P25RX-II Preliminary Specs

---------
Regarding the channel search feature in my first post, I was way off. Looking at the preliminary docs, the output from the search indicated searching 1400 channels in 10 seconds. This is not even close to correct. I'll get that fixed, but it appears that it is actually 160 channels in 40 seconds. This makes it 4 channels/sec for accurate protocol detection in the current state. Sorry about that. This feature was added yesterday, so there wasn't much time in testing.

It is so great to see AMERICAN ingenuity at work. The P25RX product is equivalent of a fine local brewed IPA. While corporate consumer electronics companies churn out overpriced stuff that falls short, ignore their customers concerns, and just swallow up their money with little innovation, I really have to tip my hat at Bluetail. Keep up the good work, you are what this country desperately needs.

Hmm... Looks like the "BT" Website is currently down. Perhaps, a sign of "More" to come?

The website host I use has been having issues for the past couple of hours now. I still have access to the site, but I cannot make changes. I haven't seen it "down" yet. I will have some good fw updates today for both P25RX and P25RX-II once they get it fixed.

This is the message I get when trying to connect to the website. Hopefully, the Host is not flagging the prospective buyers of the P25RXII next availability as a DOS attack? I know there is a high level of interest ;)

Thank you!! I got the P25RX-II in the mail today. I only had a few hours to play with it before going in to work but it sounds great so far. I will hopefully have more play time this weekend.
