I'm curious what models those all are. For Uniden models I see a BCD996T/XT/P2 (which I can't tell) a BCT15X, A BC335C? and looks like a BC125AT. I am even more curious of the Motorola scanners...
They all pull multiple duties.
2 x BCT15X typically monitoring public safety EDACS stuff. Initially I had them on 800 MHz low profile NMO antennas, but hated the VHF performance when using them for federal and aviation. Now have both connected to Larsen tri band antennas (150/450/800) and performance is much better across the board. So much so I removed the 5/8 wave VHF antenna!
I have a 996XT to go in, but haven't got round to it yet.
The crappy Bearcat will be coming out. I hate it. Poor audio & performance, but I only paid $25CAD. It monitors 1 single frequency 95% of the time : the local air ambulance UHF repeater.
The crap bearcat will be replaced by a Motorola CDM1250 which is programmed and ready to go.
The Yaesu does tx on Amateur duty (2m & 70cm). However it also does a lot of airband monitoring. I really like the dual RX with audio ducking.
Handheld Uniden scanner is just for grab & go, same with the UV-82. I buy a number of two way radios at different sites, so these radios get used for close call and to test the reception of the radio I am buying.
As for the faceplates; that was the original plan, then started enjoying the cubby hole it made available.
