PAB System?

I loaded the Patricks Air Force Base system in my digital scanner and with all the correct frequencies and the Motorola Type II system. I'm not recieving anything. I downloaded the set-up from radio refeerence. I was wondering if that's correct.

Any help on this please.

Try setting it as a P25 system.

You will find that a lot of the traffic including all security is encrypted.

I'm using the GRE PSR-800 Scanner. Using the RR data base to import the PAFB system. I see It's a Motorola Type II. I don't see anything about P25.

Yes, the RR database says Mot Type II. But it also says it is an Apco 25 system and there is a "D" in the mode column for the talkgroups. That makes it P25. It may not be a pure P25 but a mixed system with Mot Type II and P25. You also need to make sure you have imported the custom frequency table that is listed. Your software should do this automatically. I know mine does (ARC 500).

As far as encryption goes, I can't monitor it. I'm to far away. However if anyone can and it is encrypted, this information needs to be submitted to the database so it can be updated.
