So I recently discovered that my scanner software has an optional window to display packet data. Typically the data is ARS and occasionally I see some LRRP control messages.
It seems as though it only comes from CSP troopers. Is anyone familiar with this data and know how it is used? I know LRRP typically contains GPS coordinates but not really sure what these bytes of data are used for.
Thanks in advance!

This thread could be helpful. it's long, but you should it. Not all LRRP contains actual GPS info.

It also depends upon the protocol you are monitoring and possibly whether you are monitoring a control channel, a voice channel repeater output or a voice channel repeater input.
