Been noticing sc troop 5 having radio issues in the horry Georgetown areas units coming in garbled to dispatch anyone else notice this or may know what's going on again I know they had issues a while back but I thought it was resolved

The pal 800 on the Marion simulcast and on the Florence county simulcast sites it seems to be just the schp having problems all the other users sound ok

Believe it or not I would go to bearcatwarehouse.com and ask your question. I just did this and I was told about the trunk in the encrypted frequencies: police and fire are normally not encrypted but rock Hill police is encrypted.

You can have them set your radio up or they can tell you how to do it over the phone. So I’m not sure if those other frequency is part of the P-25 trunk system, if so you will need to set the radio up for the P 25 on Encrypted frequencies

The Palmetto 800 system will be up and down for a little while as the state is doing upgrades. Currently the state is also in the process of replace all SC state agency radios with new apx series radios to get rid of the xts ones. DHEC is currently doing this.
