Does the South Carolina Forestry Commission use the talk groups on Palmetto 800?

It's rare they are heard on Pal 8. They use VHF analog but will transition to VHF P25.

VHF P25 Phase 1 is similar to the same audio you would hear on Palmetto 800 but in conventional mode VHF.

Conventional P25 is digital and uses a NAC (Network Access Code). It is similar to the CTCSS (PL) or DCS (DPL) used by analog frequencies. A NAC is a 3-character hexadecimal code using the numbers 0 thru 9 and the letters A thru F.

No! P25 conventional is Phase 1 which the PRO-197 can receive.
