Just heard on the Carrollton PD Dispatch channel.

Dispatch: Unit 51, unit 53, panic alarm <address supressed>.
Unit xx <not named to preserve privacy>: Dispatch, is a panic alarm at a donut shop a code 3 response?
Dispatch: <Laughing> Yea, sure. Why not?
Unit xx: Probably shouldn't have asked that. Don't want to prolong an old stereotype.

It would be a code 3 response if the "Hot Donuts" light was on. That's funny. Wish I could have heard that one.

I once heard something similar...

There was a small fire at a local Shipley's (San Marcos) and as the FD responded, dispatch sent a PD unit to handle traffic control... *segue*

Dispatch: "321 respond to Shipley's Donuts to assist fire with traffic control."
PD-321: "Oh crap."

Ha ha, They just built a brand new dunkin next to my precinct. Every morning since they opened there is always a fresh dozen sent over.

there was a murder at a donut shot about 18 years ago.
makes me wonder during the investigation that some of
the "evidence" was sampled.

That's funny.

Not donut related, but my partner and I were headed to a prowler call at one of those palm reader places. The lady said she heard someone on the roof.

Without skipping a beat, my partner comes up on the radio and says, "doesn't she know who it is?"

Laughed my *** off.
