A house in Papillion that had been converted to a business was destroyed by fire early this morning.
Firefighters arrived at the unoccupied building at 535 N. Washington St. about 4:30 a.m. It took them about an hour to get it contained.
The State Fire Marshal's Office was investigating the cause of the fire. The two-story building, which once housed Alfrey Travel, had a "for rent" sign out front. It now is owned by St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
Papillion Fire Chief Bill Bowes said officials are "relatively sure" the fire started in the basement.
Bowes said estimating the value of the house at $120,000.
