PC programming Serial Cable Pro 95/96/97 & 2051/2055/2096 5$

For those who don't already know,b/c the usb cables are out ratshack has put the serial cables on clerance for 4.97$, ithas been this way for a few weeks, so there are very few left, i bought a couple but thought i'd make sure all you fine folks that might be wanting one knows...

also the speakerMic for the htx 202-404 and others with 2 prongs are 12.97 from 25$

I bought the USB cable last summer in Kingsport, TN when I was on vacation for 7.00 at the local ratshack there. Should have bought more (darn it)

sorry if this is a repost, I'm trying to find a link on here for an alternative to the ratschack programming cable for pro-97 a few years ago i paid $30 for one, used it about 30times and now it's broken. That seems like it's junk, costed about $1 each time i programmed my scanner with it....does anybody know an alternative cable that is Not made by radioshack ? on a positive note, the scanner is wonderful, I have no problems at all with it. It's far outlasted the junk cable.

wow, surprised to see this thread moving again, the orange usb program cable is actually on clearance, no longer on the site, it is 19.97$ at most radio shacks. if it isn't at yours yet for that price it will be soon, they have released a different looking model that offers nothing different other than packaging...

thanks everyone. i ended up getting one at ratshack for $20 its the same orange usb cable, only thing different is the driver disk is red now instead of green and it's compatable with vista. my 'old' disk was green , i had it before vista was released..
