pennsauken gone digital?

was listing to pennsauken tonight and it seems like it went digital but sounds encryiped joe you have anything on that . same frq just digital now

I'll give that a listen on the way home today and let you know what I hear. This must have just happened if it did. I was just monitoring them last weekend from home.

Yep..sure sounds like it. That's a bummer. Lots of good activity to listen to from pennsauken. It sounds like the burlington county prosecutors office encripted TG now.

Did you turn the PL tone off? If Pennsauken is clear, then you have to have the PL search feature off in order to hear P25 (found out the hard way when West Chester PD in Pa went digital last month). Otherwise, we can add Pennsauken to the list of "secret police" agencies in Jersey...

According to the FCC DB, Pennsauken's licenses have an Emission Designator of 20K0F3E. Looks like they were licensed for Digital for some time.

Pennsauken PD is operating in analog once again for the time being but will be returning to DES OFB encrypted operations on a permanent basis shortly.

As of January 4th, Pennsauken Police have resumed DES encrypted digital operations on a permanent basis.
