Hi,

I have a problem setting static 235 TG. Everything works fine apart from this. I use prefix 8 so it becomes 8000235 but it does nothing. I know using static has its problems. What am doing wrong? I tried this

StartRef=4000;RelinkTime=0;UserLink=0;TS1_1=8000235

Running pi star 4.1.7 on pi zero w

What mode? DMR Brandmeister says 235 is Great Britain. TGIF says 235 is United Kingdom.

Yaesu doesnt have a 235.

D-star, uhhh

Are you logged into a standalone, or local repeater server? The big servers use different kinds of prefixes than what you are using. Doesnt mean it is wrong, as we dont know how your Pi-star is getting its data. For example, here in mid-Atlantic, we have PRN that uses 2750n, and that doesnt match up with big networks.

Let us know your server/master so we can help.

The prefix is used in multi network setups to avoid TG clashes. There is a small script to achive this for various networks. For the Phoenix network, Mine looks like this

[DMR Network 2]
Enabled=1
Address=78.129.135.43
Port=55555
TGRewrite0=2,8,2,9,1
PCRewrite0=2,84000,2,4000,1001
Password=
Debug=0
Id=
Name=DMR+_IPSC2-DVSPh-F
Location=0
TGRewrite1=2,8000001,2,1,999999

Removing the prefix dosnt work

Looking at my pi-star, I see the DMR+ area says "use 8 prefix.". Maybe the prefix is used in the codeplug on the radio, and in the static tg setting.
I may be able to get on the radio later to do some testing.

I ran the config generator on Phoenix, and it did not prefix the tg. Maybe only the radio needs prefix.

The config generator only works for single network usage. The static 235 works fine in that scenario. Its the multi network where TGs are remmaped that causes the problem. I have TGIF and Brandmeister networks as well as Phoenix. They are all remapped. TG235 is used on Brandmeister and Phoenix but they are not joined at network level. Thanks for looking into it.

I did some more testing. It seems that keying up 8000235 with no options set, makes it static. Thats odd but cool. I havnt seen that info anywhere.

Nice. Thanks for coming back to let us know.

I'm have an issue with my WPSD pi-star you may be able to help...it works, but I cannot get to the dashboard or config the normal way, while it is connected to the internet. It works with the radio, but to get to the config, I have to log into the startup pi-star AP. Any ideas?

I had this with pi star on Tablet. I was using a DNS ad blocker. Worked fine when I used normal DNS.
