So far one priority 1 trauma, and one priority 4 (pinned beneath a chevy suburban)

i don't know the freqs on trooper dispatch, getting everything from Mont.Co. 7C.

Howard, PG, and MontCo responses.

No MCPD involvment in the collision incident itself, unsure of their involvement other than responding to the initial call. there may have been some discussion about them early on.

Command terminated, pt transported (in BAD shape) via trooper 2.

I was surprised how detailed the description of the pt's condition was.

does anyone know what the hospital consult freqs are for the MSP Trooper Helos? for sure this one is heading to Maryland Shock Trauma. i lose track of things as soon as "trooper is airborne" goes out.

NBC 4 has overhead shots of the scene from their news chopper.

looked REALLY horrific.

198 is closed for the next few hours.

Abe-

I don't usually catch hospital consults between the MSP medic and the hospital but I believe that 47.66 is an MSP freq that is used somewhat for that purpose. From what I remember this freq is more active in the rural areas. Usually I hear consults between the county medics and the hospital.

I believe that the nbc4 helo is based out of Tipton airport on Fort Meade which could explain why it arrived before the trooper.

47.66

47.66 is the patch to EMRC used by troopers en route to the hospital. My experience has been you need to be fairly close to get it. I also believe that sometimes if the ground units have done a full consult on the local med channels the trooper may not do a consult, but I have no proof of that theory.

I was listening to 7C, as my ambo (Laurel VFD, ambo 109) was on the call. One patient was a pri 4, and rumors abound that the second patient may have met with an earlier than expected demise as well.

well, from the condition of the second patient...it's likely he wouldn't have made a full recovery.

nature has a pretty good track record of making good decisions.

i have 47.66 loaded and scanning, but i think it's a matter of line-of-sight and distance. i get way worse reception on those types of freqs than all other (higher) freqs...
