Not correct, the PSR800 works.
Actually, you're incorrect. The PSR-800 works with
Motorola X2-TDMA. It has not yet been confirmed that it will work with
P25 Phase II TDMA.
That is straight from GRE's engineers. So before anyone goes around telling people that their $450 purchase of a PSR-800 will guarantee them Phase II capability, it would be wise to check out the facts first.
Of course that doesn't mean the PSR-800
won't be able to decode Phase II, either as-is or with a firmware update, but I sure as heck wouldn't go around spreading false hope and causing people to prematurely spend $450 based on probability.
