I am using a Uniden BC346XT and it works great. I can receive just about everything in the county, as long as I set up all of the sites. I will soon be installing the GPS receiver to this unit, and I am hoping that will work well. Most of the Police, except Clearwater, is on the Pinellas Trunked System. Clearwater has their own right now, but the 346 will monitor everything but the new Pinellas P25 system. I have a BCD996XT base/mobile that will monitor that. If you want the digital version in a handheld, you would have to jump up to the BCD396XT. But I have found that the majority of the county does not yet require a digital scanner, so I am very happy with the 346 and it has a lot of feature for the price.
