North Comm Fire - Command 1 - TGID 11568 - Plane down offshore, multiple people were on plane now searching for victims.

Update 10:25: 1 victim unaccounted for. Dive teams are en-route to the scene.

Update 10:38: Confirmed 11-44

Update 10:42: Moving over to North Mutual Aid CMD-1; incident command being turned over to USCG

Thanks for this post and others.

The first called I heard was when one of the boater in the water saw the plane go down
and called coastguard on his radio(ch16) @ 9:48.

Plane: Cessna 182

Weather: Very Foggy in the area.

not sure but this plane took off around the same time as the crash

A simple google search of 11-44 code (or via this forum) would have given you the answer. Sarcastic comments such as the above are totally unnecessary.

I think it was sarcastic to point out that not everyone uses the same codes, so on a forum where people outside the area of interest read it might be better to use plain language.
