Hello and thank you in advance

I BOUGHT A NEW TRUCK AND PUTTING MY 2096 IN THE DASH ALONG WITH AN AM/FM RADIO. THE QUESTION IS I WANT TO BUY A NEW TRUCK ANTENNA TO REPLACE THE ANTENNA THAT CAME WITH THE TRUCK AND MAKE IT WORK FOR BOTH THE SCANNER AND RADIO. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GET ONE THAT CAN SERVE BOTH WITH GREAT RECEPTION.

THANKS AGAIN AND HAPPY SCANNING

You are going to sacrifice performance somewhere. Either your scanner isn't going to get much or your radio isn't going to get much... reception that is.

What frequencies are you primarily trying to monitor with your scanner? If you say VHF-HI, then i would recommend buying a vhf 5/8 wave antenna which will still pull in your radio stations well if not better than stock. However if you say you want to listen to 800mhz with your scanner, then chances are your radio is going to be struggling to pull in the local stations.

Also, please refrain from posting in all CAPS!

I used a splitter one time and the signal strength wasn't too bad, but when the scanner was in the scanning mode it caused interference on the am/fm radio. If the scanner was turned off or if it was stopped on channel I did not get the interference.
