Hi everyone.

I have just started experimenting with different profiles in Sentinal.
I understand that each profile that you have, has the same favorites list on each one.

I have the SDS200 as my base radio, and both the SDS100,and the BCD436HP as portables.

My question is this- I want to have the 436 to be just for monitoring the Montana Federal Forests.
Specfically the Bitterroot National Forest and Lolo National Forest.
I also want to include the Missoula Interagency Dispatch Center and the Montana State Interagency Dispatch Centers.
Is this possible?

Thanks for your help

Mike

Yes, As long as the Montana Federal Forests is in a separate Favorite List from the stuff you do not want to monitor. Goto Edit Profile and then select the tab Quick Key Status. Turn ON only the Favorite List # associated to the Forest Service. Make sure under Scan Selection you have Monitor turned ON also.

Another option is to go into Edit..Edit Profile....turn Monitor/Download OFF for every Favorite List except what you want to use the 436 for.

If you choose this option, when you Write to Scanner, check the box to Erase all Favorite Lists in scanner...confirm yes, and this will wipe the scanner clean for everything else. Pay attention to your Quick Key you used as it must be turned on or you'll receive the Nothing to Scan message.

I mostly concur with the above, but would leave Download On, but Monitor Off. That way "everything" is going to the scanner, but only the one desired Favorites List is active/turned on.

Download Off means the other Favorites Lists are not written to the scanner. One never knows when that weird and crazy situation comes up where you do want to monitor the "other stuff".

Thanks for all of your help!
I was able to get it to work by following all of your suggestions.

Now my 436 is set up to receive the following for Montana:

1. Interagency Fire Centers

2. Interoperability Fire Centers

3. Montana State Forests
