TROY, Mich. — A gunman shot three people at a suburban Detroit office building Monday, police said, and the gunman may still be at large.

Their conditions weren't known, said Troy police Lt. Gerry Scherlinck

Local FOX affiliate WJBK in Detroit reported that there may be a barricaded gunman inside a building located at 1301 Long Lake Road in Troy, Mich. Witnesses told WJFB there were sounds of gunfire around 10:30 a.m.

Several emergency crews responded to the scene. It is unclear what happened, but police did confirm that it is a workplace shooting, reported WJBK. There were injuries reported, but how many people and the extent is not known at this time.

Sounds like they caught up with him and got him in custody around the Bay City exit on I-75 after a chase at speeds up to 120MPH.

i had an excellent scanner feed on this even at IBN teamspeak

Just curious to know what freq, system, and talk ID's you were listening in on. All I got was the intercity channel reporting the car type, license plate, and a brief description of the suspect...etc...

I got more info out of the tv.

I didn't think IBN covered that area?

Teamspeak just added MI to their feeds, most of the time MSP Detroit Posts, but I've heard a couple of surrounding departments as well. Maybe MSP was involved with the chase?

i was using mainly the Oakland County System...TG 720. thats seemed to be Troy operations for today. I had air one, numerous sheriff's, all could be heard on that. I did go to msp when they said there was a chase.

I believe Oakland County Sheriff has 2 choppers
Macomb County has 1
Warren has or had 1
MSP has several
If needed for SAR any of the med choppers and coast guard have been known to help

But it is possible I could be wrong on the above info, maybe someone could verify

Macomb County does not have a heli.

Warren had (I believe) two back in the day, but those are long gone.

And Detroit, the city that could actually USE a heli (or four) no longer has a single chopper.(although MSP has been basing a heli at City Airport).

I believe Macomb County started an aviation unit a year or so ago but I think its a reserve deputy with a pilots license & his own helicopter. I don't think its actually a MCS owned helicopter but I'm not 100%. Time for a google search I guess.

A couple times while monitoring it, I had the impression it was a plane, not a helicopter. I'm not sure now what made me think that.
