I have a Whistler 1088. Starting last night, I'm not hearing much of anything. No local police (Tigard, Beaverton, Hillsboro) or Washington County sheriff. I had it on for at least an hour. Very unusual.

So, thinking maybe my data got corrupted somehow, I formatted the card this morning and started over. Loaded the latest library and imported all the usual services I listen to. I'm still not getting much. Even the light rail is quiet, and usually they are constantly yakking. I'm only hearing WA state police. I've tried a couple different antennas.

Thoughts? Thanks.

Maybe database page for the county, under police they should have an entry like this for example: "Primary communications system for all Police communications are on (new system name)?

If it is just on the bottom of the page mixed in with other trunked systems, people might not notice.

So what do I do now? Do I add those new TGs manually in a scanlist under the Washington County trunking system? Maybe I need to post this in the Whistler section.

Your best bet might be that link I posted above for what to do in general. If you need to know particular related to your scanner, that might be best in the thread for the scanner.

Okay. So we lost most of the PDs in Washington County, is that correct? I've obviously been out of the loop here.

Maybe I'll just go play ham radio instead. :)

Correct, Police went to digital but with encryption. They did add all channels though to Broadcastify but with a delay.

So they're in the clear on Broadcastify but not over the air. That's interesting.

Thanks for your help.
