I have been getting enc DMR on 418.3375. I think it may be USPS as well.

That makes sense, thanks. I thought it was suspiciously similar.

Oh okay, I was confused since I saw 8CD on the DB - and sorry I keep meaning to put it - Im located in Tampa. I can just get enough signal for DSD to decode.
Coleman is 61 miles from me, so thats quite a catch with a little SDR Blog V3 kit dipole antenna.

about 80 miles to the northeast from me... I only hear it when the band is open.

Since you are closer and likely heard it recently, can you submit to get the NAC added to
Voice channels will not have the same NAC as the system ID. There is an article on the logic behind this.....somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Both of those are most certainly part of the Coleman system and you will see NAC 8C0 on the voice channels during decode.

hope that helps!

According to the on-line MAPS VHF and UHF are open this am, so quite possible this is Coleman

8CD is the SysID
Site 1 Site Details (Federal Correctional Complex Coleman) is where the NAC would be, once confirmed

Any Trunked Site, you can click on the Zone/Site and it opens up, based on a Geo Circle
implemented by the DB Admins.

Federal is tough for them, but the FCC info generally will show the licensed towers
Where do you find these maps, is ti a website? I didnt know this existed, sounds awesome.

Oh yeah I know the site maps, I was referring to a map that shows band openings/ducting conditions for particular bands. I thought you meant that there was another site that showed different band openings besides for the amateur repeaters on http://aprs.mennolink.org/
The site maps on RR are static though, right? The ranges/diameters dont shift with daily conditions?

the way this works are various ham beacons... mostly VHF... but it's indicative of general ducting for UHF/800 as well

Correct. The db range circles are only for location based scanning.
Sometimes they are centered on actual transmitter locations and sometimes they are centered on a city, county or other service area. They have nothing to do with real life radio conditions.

Scanning around the Federal frequencies I am picking up 172.7250 NFM NAC 120 "Lock up is secured". I looked over on R/R Federal Nac Codes and found these users that use NAC 120...ACoE, FBI (OH), NPS.

Does anyone know what the paging-like signals are on the federal bands? Right now on 418.1625 Im getting this signal which sounds somewhat like a POCSAG paging signal, but maybe a bit different. Is this something that can be decoded? I've also seen these on 162-174.

It could be SCADA or intermod from some non-federal frequency.
