pr096 dead keypad

need help or advice , i cant reset or intiate a clearance of info fm factory as all functions are not possible from locked keypad..or can this be done by cloning another pr096 i tried thepaperclip but that doesnt help, this old man is new this high tech stuff help...rs2052/pro43-(2) xlt200 bob odenton md

Try pressing the Func key or Func and Light symbol. This is just a guess.

Pressing the FUNC then the light symbol keys Would unlock the keypad under normal conditions. if you press a key, do you get any message on the screen? Maybe try removing the Power/Batteries for a bit.

rchalupajr the pro96 continues to scan and does stop on active freqs but when i try a function to lock out a bank or any other freq it just continues to scan cant stop it etc i hv removed the batteries and also tried a longer charge time but still will not respond tnx.. bob

have you tried to re-initializing it ? Turning it on and immediatley pressing 0 then 1 then enter?

rchalupajr yes i hv tried that many many times, i begining to think its job for repair either at radio shack or some other reliable repair shop tnx for now going turn in for the night.... bob

To lock out a bank try pushing the scan button and then push the button with the number of the bank you want to lock out, the number should be replaced with a [.] it is then locked out. to lock out a frequency press the MAN button and scroll to the frequency you want locked out then press the l/out button.

To unlock the bank or frequency just reverse the above.

pappy1 that doesnt work keybad wont activate will lv this problem sit maybe ill get some info but going down to the outer banks, will use 2052 and my pro43 s to listen to milcom tnx guys for tips bob...
