Does anyone know about the new VHF Frequencies or have any further insight on them??

I was at the Buckwheat Festival over the weekend and was only able to monitor traffic for a short period of time but caught 156.2325 PL 103.5 was the Sheriff's Crossband Repeater to and from Low Band. (It is not a Microwave Link as the deputies were carrying VHF Portables). I wanted to know if any of the new frequencies that are listed in the FCC Database may also have new prospects such as the one above. The Lisc is WQES725, I also know that some of the other VHF Splinters will be used for Water Supply.

Thanks Nathan

Also caught simplex ops on EMS 3 154.980 with a PL of 162.2 which was submitted to the Database.

I can see that

I can read that it is liscensed to Preston County or Preston OEM 911, I was wanting to know if anyone may be able to say wether it is Fire, Police or EMS that uses those frequencies.

One of the pairs for each site is being used for the Law Enforcement (Sheriffs Dept, etc.) Crossband from 39.48 MHz.

Caddell Mtn: 156.2325 MHz
Fellowsville: 155.3175 MHz
Both 103.5 Hz

The other two pairs are still a mystery.

Thanks

cwerntz,

Thanks for the information, it is greatly appreciated. Maybe they will be for Fire as the firedepartments are slowing migrating to VHF equipment.

Any idea if the repeater pairs are :

- 155.317500/153.942500 [Laurel Mtn]
- 156.232500/153.927500 [Cadell Mtn]

? I'd guess these are probably police repeaters, based on relaying 39.48 and the VHF freqs used (allocated from inside the old PP pool).

I also show corresponding pairs (allocated from the old PF pool, so prob. fire repeaters) on:

- 154.392500/159.105000 [Laurel Mtn]
- 154.152500/151.482500 [Cadell Mtn]

so watch them for activity.
