We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Question? With the 996XT i use Freescan to program the 996XT i want to put some Priority Channels in.
I have selected what Talkgroups i want to be set for that and also turn on Priority "ON" under the general tab and for the System I turn on Priority ID Scan "ON".

Radio just says Priority Scan - No Channel

Im lost can anyone give me a answer on what to do..

Priority ID Scan exclusively scans conventional channels flagged as priority. If no conventional channels in enabled systems are set to priority, you will get that error.

For trunked systems, all you need to do is set the trunked system's priority option and each channel.

I don't know where this appears in Freescan.

In FreeScan it is per TGID and is located just right of LO on the Group Screen, then on the System Page Click on Priority ID Scan under XT Options

I am having the same problem as the OP. I set priority and/or priority plus on the main menu, then selected priority scan on in the system, then selected priority for an individual talkgroup in that system.

NO CHANNEL error.......what am I doing wrong, I turned on everything possible that says priority.
