Pro 106-apco 25

after doing research on the pro 106 and visting the discussion grps it looks like the pro 106 does include the, cities that use the apco 25 trunking systeum, but when i went into a local radio shack store and looked at the box it doesnt say anything about that type of trunk system--just the motorola and the other types and i was afraid to get it cause i want the scanner to be able to scan the apco 25 in my area,e so should i go ahead and get even though it doesnt say thats included. it also looks like i can download what i want off the internet at radioreference,com and all is need is the interface cable which isnnt included. am i correct on that? any feedback would be appreciared

That scanner does handle digital P25 systems, so you'll be fine.

Motorola, EDACS, and LTR are trunking system formats.

AM, FM, FMN, and APCP 25 (and others) are types of signal formats that carry the information for the voice and data that allow trunking systems to work.
