Pro 106 Can you roll firmware back?

Pretty simple question, can you roll a Pro 106 back to an older firmware?

Yes you can, you just need the executable (.EXE) file. Version 1.8 is still posted at RadioShack, under the "Product Support" tab. And I have the v1.7 file.

Curious to know why you'd want to do that? Is there a benefit?
