Currently have v1.9 of the CPU firmware installed but I cannot update my DSP firmware to v1.4 (running v1.3 as of now). I follow the installation instructions correctly every time when trying to upgrade? But as soon as I click on the "test" button, in the DSP upgrade software, my scanner stops working and displays: Heap Error 22BD21 : 22C4. Do any of you know what is causing this heap error and what it means? Or have a way to stop it from happening so I can begin/complete the installation process?! Very frustrating.

Thank you for taking the time to read this... Any help or info is very much appreciated.

Pro-106 heap error

A heap error is caused by not programming a trunking frequency properly. You need a computer program
like Butel Pro-106 software to review what is programmed in the scanner and delete unassigned talk groups.
If you don't have access to a computer program then you need to do a master reset and delete all
programming and this will eliminate your heap error. I have seen heap error messages come up during a
attempted 1.4 DSP upgrade stop the upgrade process. You need to eliminate the heap error before attempting the DSP upgrade.
