pro-106 need help

can i use win 96 for the 106

also
i want to put a few control chanels by hand ..im lost
any help would be great...
i have a few 2096 and 96 wich are easy but the 106 is making me scratch my head

if i put 142 245 it gives me 142 250

One nice thing you can do also with the psredit software is connect your Pro-96 and import the programming from it into the software and then make any changes you wish to make and then connect your Pro-106 and program it.

There is an extremely obscure reference in the manual about how to have 5khz step size on 136 to 174 mhz.

I had this problem as well and once I found the magic button, I was set. I then wrote GRE and asked why one Earth would they design a scanner to NOT have 5khz step size right out of the box.

Needless to say, I did not get a very convincing response

theres a option in the gen-settings tab (WIN500)under the FLEXSTEP..
i believe this is the enabler for the 5k step setting...
i keep mine enabled just to avoid this issue when hand tuning a freq..
ive noticed no determent-maybe a slower scanning speed,but thats minimal..

again,hand programming is nifty,,but personally,,the software
is just,,soooo,,,,21st century...

You can also import from the 96 with win500,,,

Additionally, Win500 allows the import of Win96 as well as Win97 files—no PRO 96 or PRO 97 required.

not really wanting to buy another software if i got 1

Global Settings Misc tab for 5KHz setting then select Expert tab for Flexstep setting.

to get the downloads..but i still cant do it lol

the download to scanner ..all i get is nothing enabled

Set as in image. Then click ScanList tab for list selection. Save and load to scanner then press list number on scanner to enable

Hopefully you set previous flexstep and 5 KHz settings.

bell fleet
then it gives me 2 screen one with sites and the other with tg
do i click them all
after that just import

i got to that screen the pic u posted
i click cochrane instead of sudbury
trunk sys Cochran and trunk required for OOP Zone 3 to ungray for selection
bell fleet
then it gives me 2 screen one with sites and the other with tg
do i click them all Select only sites within range and TG's for those sites
after that just import Yes
after this im lost After Save and sending to scanner, press the scanlist number on scanner to Enable.

my 96'S ARE SO SIMPLE lol

This scanner will be simple as you use it.
