I am 98% certain I'll be buying one of these on line, next friday. I'm interested in knowing if you love it,hate it, ready to build a shrine for it?
Issues with starcom 21,and how or where?
Thanks tons! :)

The GRE500/RS106 works great on "stand alone" towers on Starcom such as in down state ILL ....But up here in the north where we have multisite-simulcast towers the Uniden models work much better for me...The GRE/RS sit there and flicker and have many dropouts ....This is my opinion with a year of use on both,,....

Where in northern Ill. are you? I travel to lee/whiteside counties on occasion. Have you used the on board data to program starcom or did you use aftermarket software? I checked with a local shack here and they claim to have some form of software in their store computer.
I appreciate anything you can tell me about your experience with the pro-106. I'm still mulling over the purchase this payday.
Anyone else feel free to chime in also!
Thanks,

I've found the same to be true comparing the Pro96 to the 396T on stand alone vs simulcast towers.
