Pro 106 power cord

I have a Radio Shack pro 106... I've bought a couple cheaper wall power cords online and none seem to work.. It shows it powered up but won't transmit.. Anyone know where I can get wall power cord that will work properly.

A Pro 106 is a scanner so therefore it doesn't "transmit". With that said, there's an adapter on Amazon here. One reviewer states it "works perfectly"

These work great used em before, just plug em in and it works. PQLV203. Some 1/2 the price of a new one for the ws1040 from whistler.

the 106 is a receiver only. it cannot transmit.

I used a cheap generic wall wart on my Pro-651 for a few years without any problems at all. Then my granddaughter knocked it off the desk and "transmitted" it to the floor, whereupon no external power sources worked anymore.

Now I use a USB cord soldered to the yellow battery holder and routed through a spare battery door for a WS-1040. 5VDC runs it just fine when I'm not using batteries.

I owned a GRE PSR 500 which is the same chassis as the Pro-106. I never ever used the power supply. If I did, I made sure no batteries were inside. I always charged the batteries outside the scanner to avoid reported issues with the power supply.
