Pro-106

My father in law has a PRo-106. He's 93 and evidently he punched something in and it isn't scanning anymore. He lives in Liverpool NY outside of Syracuse and I have absolutely NO IDEA what I am doing this this unit to program it. I do have the manual but it makes no sense.
All I want to do is get it set up so he can listed to the local 911 and police like he had it set up.
Can anybody simplify this programming for me?

Pretty difficult to answer without knowing what it shows on the screen, etc,
Ive programmed a lot of scanners for people and some come up with whoops'.

Generic answers; Press SCAN button, if it shows nothing enabled or so, most people put their programming in scanlist 1, so press the 1 button.

Turning Scan List On and Off

Press the number key assigned to the Scan List. For double-digit Scan Lists, press FUNC then the second digit of the Scan List. Example: FUNC then 8 for list 18. To use the Favorites List press FAV. Press SCAN to exit.
