First let me say that I think the RS PRO-107 is a huge improvement over the other scanners I have owned over the past 25 years or so, and I think they (Radio Shack) have the right idea.

I did some searches in this forum for answers to what I'd like to do with the RS PRO-107, but did not find anything pertinent, so I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked and answered.

I live in Lafayette, LA, which has a consolidated city/parish goverment (in Louisiana we have parishes, akin to other states' counties).

The Lafayette parish government has a single trunked system, and certain "channels" on that trunked system have been assigned to the various agencies (city police, fire, sheriff, etc).

What I'd like to do (using the PRO-107 "iScan" software), is setup the playlists so that, in general, it will scan all of the trunked Lafayette channels. But then, if something interesting starts happening for a single angency (e.g., fire), I'd like to be able to switch to a playlist that only scans those trunked channels assigned to that agency.

The things I've tried so far using the iScan software have not worked. For example, I have a Playlist setup named "All Lafayette" (which includes all of the trunked channels for every Lafayette agency), and then separate Playlists setup for each agency (city police, fire, sheriff). However, when I select the "Sheriff" playlist (which only includes those trunked channels allocated to the sheriff's department) and disable the "All Lafayette" channel, the '107 continues to break in with transmissions from all of the other agencies.

Has anyone else been here and done this?
