Hello, I just thought I would put in some info that I have found by using the 107 scanner and batteries. I can use good alkaline batteries and only get about 4-6 hrs of usage time. I bought a couple of cheap nimh rechargebles from the dollar store. They are rated at 2000 mAh, not the best by far, but I can run the scanner for between 10-14 hrs with these batteries, about 2-3 times longer than alkalines. And the best thing of all is I can recharge them.
Hope this helps someone save a little money. Just be sure that they are nimh.
John.

If you get good nimh batteries, like a duracell 2450mah batteries you can get about 16hrs out of them. I use those and some RS 2500mah enercell rechargeables that work great for a solid 2- 3 days of listening.

I use the Energizer AA High Energy Lithium batteries and can get upwards of 50hrs (sometimes more) out of them. However they are very $$$$ :-(
