Make sure you assign the TGRPs to a PLAY LIST. By default it should assign to PLAY LIST 1, unless you've set the default to another list.

Another thing to try; in the menu go to BROWSE OBJECTS, using the left or right button you can navigate to the play list where your objects (TGRP) should be. Once in the selected play list use the up and down buttons to see if your information is there. If it is there make sure to turn that playlist on.

You didn't mention the system that you are trying to monitor. If it's a P25 system then the 107 will not monitor it, as the 107 is analog only scanner.

Good Luck,

You should be able to monitor your County of Fayette. Since your scanner is an Analog trunktracker and the system in your county is Analog trunking you should have no problem. But I do not know if you have to enter custom tables or not in your Pro 107 which you can since your area has gone through rebanding. Also is your firmaware upgraded in your Pro 107. As mentioned I am not sure if you need custom tables or not but here is good thread that explains it. http://forums.radioreference.com/ut...5682-custom-band-plan-s-rebanded-systems.html

DDan is really knowledgeable so he is a good person to ask questions. I know he is always on here like I am trying to help the people the best we can.

Not to sure what else to say.

Pro-107/iScan

Hi,

I can tell you that the Pro-107 is really a great scanner. The iScan software has numerous glitches. I use Windows 7 (with both 32 and 64 bit computers).

I have issues with the software not liking the EDACS trunking system. Sometimes it will not create a separate system using two different trunking systems for Washoe County.

Other times, the software seems to create and have a mind of it's own. Several priority channels get activated when programming. Sometimes, the program indicates errors and I have to shut it down via the Windows task manager.

The import library feature only works when using the original software version (not the upgrade). I can go on and on.

The bottom line: if I am patient, work around the glitches, the software will eventually work.

iScan Work around fix

Hi,

Thanks for the information Dan about the library issue. It addresses that particular issue and works!

I hope RS/GRE are reading everyone's messages regarding the problems.

This is otherwise a great scanner and one of my favorites.

I just recently bought this scanner. For trunked systems, I went to playlists; chose trunked talkgroups, and put in the talk groups, from the Northwst Frequency Directory. For the police department, I put in the talkgroup numbers, and, a gray-out box, telling me freq is already stored. I get the primary dispatch channels just fine. When officers go to a tactial channel (like tac 1), I cannot locate the conversation. Yet the talkgroup # is supposed to be already stored on the scanner. I have to the library and done updates. Why am I not getting secondary channels for public safety in my area? What is the difference between private trunked ID, and trunked talkgroup?

heres some post to look at that might answer your second question. It maybe related to the Pro 106 but you might give you some idea.

I believe a private trunked group is so you can hear radio to radio not radio to dispatch.
