Dont know if this will help other RR people but i found the tap point on my pro-160 and tapped one of my radios without any issues. I would suggest you tap it on the other side of the pcb board it is also labeled DISC - DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK-

It's a point where a particular signal - in this case, a discriminator signal - can be accessed on the PCB. It's often referred to as a 'tap point' because this is where one would connect a cable to bring the signal out to a jack that someone would mount, usually on the back of the scanner.

Great find, Xeno. Please upload a copy to the wiki, or I'll do it later tonight -- this is the sort of thing we need to catalog. Others will, at some point, want to do the same 73 Mike

If you don't mind doing the upload to the wiki for me :) I don't want to mess anything up. I remember a while back a few people asked about the pro-160 tap point and so did i about a week ago. I even emailed uniden and did not get a response. Thanks Uniden for labeling it for me :)
