This might have been covered before..
I remember seeing post about the fourth line of text on the pro 163 164.
Is there a way for that line to show something other than ID banks 0-----
Like
4 th line Lewisville Fire
5 th line Fire Disp ch 1

I have Lewisville Fire in the alpha tag in the bank editor, and Fire disp ch 1 in the other box where I have the TGID’s

I’m using win97 to program it.. and have updated to ver 1.08 I’m monitoring Denton county, Tx. Lewisville system.

What you show there is what is displayed on the 2nd line, not 4th line.

I’m using win97 to program it.. and have updated to ver 1.08 I’m monitoring Denton county, Tx. Lewisville system.
The recent firmware change (to v1.08) changed what is displayed on the 4th line for conventional channels only when the channel is set to AM or FM. So if a trunked channel or you set it to DC or CT you see the decoded tone value, otherwise with v1.08 you see the bank tag.

If you are seeing MOT:XXXXX where XXXXX=talk group ID, press the TXT button when the scanner is stopped on a transmision and the bottom line will change to the alpha tag you have entered for that talk group.

To show which sub banks are being scanned, press "FUNC" then "TRUNK" while the scanner is stopped on a transmision. The 4th line of the display will show the sub banks being scanned and the one with the current channel will be flashing. While scanning, the 4th line will show "Scanning Up" or Scanning Down"
