I assume you downloaded the STARS frequencies and VSP Talkgroups, and not the older state police analog frequencies, correct?

Yes. Is Virginia State Police DVRS Vehicle Repeater Freq's included in the STARS download? i'm in the warrenton area. Do I need to make sure I have specfic towers or T-Tables. Do I need to make any adjustments to the data downloaded from RR? Thank you for any help!

If type is P25 Auto, T-Tables will auto populate.

P25 auto is set. When I look at "edit T Tables" the table is blank
Then you don't have a correct control frequency (CC) in TSYS frequencies or you are to far from the tower to decode the data.
Have you checked the system using Man F2 (TSYS F3 (Analyz? Then step through each frequency to determine any noise and decode info on bottem line of display.

I use the tower located at MT Weather and the STARS control channel is 152.8052. I am about 20 miles east of the site and I get more STARS traffic than I can handle. Both Fairfax and Cul VSP Div along with other agencies such of the Game Warden and Department of Forestry. You may also want to try the tower located at Independance Hill. There are some parts of Northern VA such as the Mt Vernon area where I have a difficult time with STARS reception but I really think you should be able get decent reception in Warrenton. How are you doing with Fraquier and PW counties?

Thanks for your help!
I pick-up Fauquier Co. and Prince William Co. just fine.

FMOM had it right about VSP "you are to far from the tower to decode the data". For some reason the PRO-197 scanner would not pick-up VSP while sitting in my house. I took the scanner for a ride in my car. I drove R28 from the Bealeton area up to the PWC line. By the time I got to Catlet I was picking up VSP from Richmond, Culpeper & Fairfax. I guess it just needed to decode. Everything seem to be working just fine now.

Great, you should now be able to find 8 T-Tables for STARS TSYS.

Also, at home and due to computer bleed, using GA (Glob ATT) at top of display may enhance decode.

I’m glad that you at least have an explanation now (FMOM knows what he is talking about). At my place in Mt Vernon, I have to go outside and stand on my head just to pick up the STARS control channel. There seems to be a lot of dead spots for STARS reception on scanners. Fairfax Co Police has a patch for the Fairfax Div of the VSP which is what I use when I am down there. Do not know if PW has anything like that. Anyhow Good luck.
