Just got another scanner and i dont know where to get the audio cable i need now that RS has closed. I have the programming cable already. Can anyone link me?

I assume you're doing some recording - did you check Worst Purchase....er Best Buy? I'd guess you'd need a stereo jack on one side and whatever you need for your USB soundcard (if you're using Win10 and don't have audio jacks, as many don't...) or audio input (if your PC has one and is working...)

I havent looked for anything yet. Its been years since I have bought my original pair. Its running Windows 7.

Then at least in theory, this should be easy. I would verify the jacks on both ends, but I would think both the earphone jack on the 197 and your PC are stereo type. GL...Mike

If you are looking for a cloning cable, any stereo audio patch cable with TRS mini (1/8") stereo plugs on both ends will work.
I have a rca female splitter on my other scanner. Could you link to me to what I need exactly? Im a bit lost, its been so long.
