Pro-2005 squelch wont close

I cleaned the inside of this unit last week. It was very dusty. After using some contact cleaner, I let the unit sit for 20 hours and then blew it out with an air hose where I work. Once done, I plugged it in and it was working normally.

When I got home later the same evening I hooked it up and now the squelch will not close. It receives fine, just cant get rid of the squelch noise on any of the bands.

Any ideas??

Squelch

First check the white plug in connectors on the top of the circuit board , make sure they are tightly inserted and making a good connection, make sure you did not bump anyhting while cleaning it.

Do you have a schematic for the 2005, look on it for the squelch control connector going back to IC 3, I THINK...from memory????. I'm guessing thats the gate of the squelch control, and IC 3 has been known to go bad.
