pro-2006 with OptoScan456... what would you do?

So, I have this really nice pro-2006 w/ optoscan456. I don't have a serial port on my 'puter.. nor do i have software for the optoscan. I always wanted one of these back in the day, and now i have one.... BUT what can I do with it now? Any software out there for this now? Do any of you use this setup anymore? Lets brainstorm some ideas..... Thanks!!

I have the Pro2042 with the OS535 which is similar in function.

The Probe 7.0 scanning software is the best rated for that combo
but you must run it on a DOS machine. I have an older laptop
dedicated for that and it still performs very well although its old
enough now that its getting a little long in the tooth.

I agree that Probe software is the way to go.
For serial, I use DirectIO.exe.
You may find Optcom24.exe to be useful.
