In the manual it says when you are done programing trunked frequencys to activate which bank you want to trunk and than press the search button. The problem is when I press search it does not find the data chanel. Search flashes but it does not go through the chanels. I programed all of the chanels for the town I want to moniter and I can't get it to find the data chanel. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to help?
Thanks.

It sounds like you may not have the control channel programmed in. It may help if you let us know what system you are trying to program.

Hey Dubbin , I checked his posting history and it looks like it is this system:

http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=712

So... it is a UHF Moto system that needs a Base ,Offset etc . programmed.

Kyke , go to page 44 in the owners manual

Enter it as an E2 -UHF trunking system.
Follow the Programming the Base and Offset Frequencies instructions.
Change the 406.000 default to 500.300 . The next step would be to change the default offset to 12.5
Once you do that part , then enter your freq's and you should be trunking.

Good Luck :)

Push the TRUNK button , select your bank.
Program this one as E2-800 . Every channel should have a little M.
