in Win97 I have certain trunk freqencies programed in and talk group IDs. Why are there frequencies showing up in my scanner that are in between the frequencies I programed in?
When they show up they are barely audible. I closed the banks so it shouldnt be picking anything else up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

PRO-2055 (base version of PRO-97)

Certainly if you try to enter a frequency that is not "even", it will "round" it down to the next valid frequency. Something like 867.1234 would get rounded to 867.11875. So my first question is: are you entering "valid" frequencies? My second question: what happens when you manually program that frequency directly into the scanner?

All the frequencies are even and are from Radio Reference database. When I check manually in the scanner banks these frequencies are not even stored. These barely audible frequenies fall inbetween ones I know are correct. I dont know if the talk group ID is pulling them in or what.

I'm really not quite sure what your saying here, because of the barely audible.
Lets say you use the Control Channel Only method then only a few frequencies may be programmed in, the system may have many more frequencies in use. On a Pro-97 when the trunking is tracking it will show these frequencies as the TGs show up on them even if they are not programmed in.

Give us some specifics. What exact frequencies are you programming that fail? I'll try them myself. You could also provide a .p97 file and a link to data in the RR database. With all that info we should be able to at least see if it works for one of us.

He may have changed the "MOT custom trunking table" located in the upper right corner of the WIN97 program.
Just a thought.

I think I fixed it. In Win97 I had it on normal not splinter. The trunked frequencies I am using are splinter. I have not noticed it stopping on inbetween freqs anymore
