Welcome to RR!

Are you near OKC or Tulsa? There are quite a few people near the metro areas, and the OKC guys (mostly, a couple of gals show up too) get together about once a month, and one of us will be glad to help with the programming. I think I've seen some of the Tulsa guys also meet up with new scanner owners to help program. Trunking is a total new beast from scanning of old, there's lots of things to learn, or at least take for granted. And some of the scanners don't have a real friendly user interface, especially if you're not sure what you are doing. That's where the software RolnCode3 mentioned comes in, not only are they easier to understand, but it's a lot easier to fix typos! And you can rearrange your channels/banks without having to re-type everything.
We probably have someone near you if trunking doesn't click, so just holler for help!

Next to a scanner...
To program up the state system in OKC, just make a bank for MOT II, and program the frequencies listed under site 8 (OKC) on this page: http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=844

I'm not very familiar with the 2067, but I would hope it does control-channel only trunking. If that's the case, you really only need 867.750 and 866.925 (and maybe 851.0125 eventually) programmed in. Hit scan, turn on that bank, and you should be trunking the state system.

For Midwest city, they are on UHF and VHF for a limited amount of time still. You can find their info here: http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&aid=397

As robynsjw said, a group of scanner enthusiasts gather about once a month to help each other out, talk about new things going on, and show off new toys. Our next meeting will be a week from this upcoming Wed. (meeting on 10/24). Jump in and mention a place to eat: http://www.radioreference.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83113

All 10 freqs need to be programmed as the 2067 is not a CC only scanner. GRE's first CC only came a year or so later with the Pro-93/2053.

The 2067 has a known issue with "alignment" from the factory that puts their reception down a couple dB on 800MHz out of the box on some models. It's hit or miss if it's a "good" one or a "bad" one. A better antenna (specific to 800MHz) may help, but if it's bad, find a good tech with a service monitor who can tweak it without screwing it up (it's not a job for rookies - trust me). The instructions are readily available on the internet.

This is a really old trunker (like not made for 3-5 years, I'm not sure exactly) and GRE's first trunker to attempt to decode the control channel. It's not a bad unit, but it's what I would consider the "bare minimum" for tracking busy trunked systems.

Then again, it's got one of the best PL decoders ever. I'd love to have one for the hamshack since it can scan the ham repeaters "closed" and not break squelch on all the tropo openings.
