So, I cannot find a way to fix this... I have a PRO-404 providing an LE feed, if it is running on batteries it is fine, when I plug in the DC power supply with the yellow pack and rechargeable batteries my feed turns into static, but if I unplug my line out, the scanner works fine through the speaker on DC, and if I unplug the DC it works fine on batteries. I have tried reversing the plug polarity, removing the battery pack, pretty much everything I can think of. It would seem to me that the DC supply is causing a problem with the headphone jack... But if I plug in the DC and an actual pair of headphones, it works fine... Anyone know of a way to fix this? I would really love to not have to swap out batteries every evening to keep my feed up and running but will do what I have to...

Sounds like a grounding issue. Just to be clear, when the computer is connected to the headphone jack is when you have the trouble, but if you disconnect the computer and insert earphones into the jack, the trouble clears right up? If that's the case, you might look into breaking the ground loop between the computer and scanner with a ground loop isolator and see if that resolves the issue. For simplicity sake, here's the link to the one Radio Shack carries.

Well Here is a list of what is working and what is not...

Scanner->PC -- Works
DC->Scanner->PC -- Does Not
DC->Scanner -- Works
DC->headphones -- Works

I have my feed down for a week right now while I move and get internet and all of my servers and things up and running again... I will stop at RS and see if I can find a 3.5mm GLI, if not I am sure I can find one on amazon... If thats not it looks like I am going to make a habit out of swapping batteries for a week or two until I can get another desk unit to feed from...

The only thing I haven't tried is my PRO-164 to see if it does the same thing...
