PRO-433 AM/FM/NFM question

Does anyone know if the PRO-433 sets modulation by default or not? And if it does set it by default, to what does it set it?

I'm attempting to monitor VHF Mil-air, and according to the RR Forums, I need AM for that.

Can anyone help me out?

It should set itself automatically. There isn't any settings in the menu for modulation type, or I don't recall.. Maybe I just overlooked that..

I just progrmmed in the frequencies and it worked fine, like it set itself automatically. I'm sure it probably does. Try it for a few days and see if you hear anything. If you don't, further investigation might be needed..

Your 433 will set the mode by freq range ( at least that how mine does ), it will set it to AM mode in the UHF aero band but in the 140 to 143 mz range it sets the mode to FM which is worth less for Mil Air. As KG4LJF mentioned there is no way to change the mode yourself.
